Arquitectura em Público is the first book to come out of my Phd research on the presence of architecture in non-specialized media, and its impact in practice itself. It critically portraits the rampant apparition of architecture in Público newspaper, from the inception of this Portuguese daily in 1990 until 2005.
As one revisits spicy stories, cultural mementos, everyday soap-operas, and the rise and fall of media protagonists, it is also possible to devise a partial history and a cultural critique of how the restricted field of Portuguese architecture adapted extremely well to a new media paradigm.
